Switching to Badger
Coming from another tracker? Bring your history over first so your PRs and graphs start out full, then settle into how you like to train.
Your first 5 minutes
- During first-launch onboarding, tap Import. You can also do this any time later from Settings → Your data → Import.
- Choose your old app: FitNotes, Strong, Hevy, or Stronglifts.
- Select the export file you saved from that app.
- Review the preview: exercises, workout days, sets, and the detected weight unit.
- Tap Import to bring it all in.
What carries over
- Your exercises, your workouts, and every set within them.
- Weights come in their original unit, so nothing gets rounded or converted on the way in.
- New exercises land in an "Imported" category, so you can find and re-sort them later. Coming from FitNotes is the exception: its backup carries your own categories, so your exercises land where you already had them.
- If a session already exists on the same date, the imported sets merge in rather than overwriting it.
The 3 things to know
- PRs are recalculated from your imported history, so your records show up on their own without any extra step.
- Nothing leaves your device. The import runs locally, straight from the file you selected.
- You can import more than once, so a partial or second export is fine to add later.
Your old app
The steps above are the same everywhere. What differs is how much survives the move, and that depends on what your old app exports.
- FitNotes The backup is a database, so your categories, library, body weight and measurements come too.
- Strong A CSV, and a fuller one than most: your RPE and your per-set notes come with it.
- Hevy The richest CSV of the four. It marks set type, so your warmups arrive as warmups.
- StrongLifts Covered on the 5x5 page, together with the template that ships in the app.
Now pick your path
With your history in place, choose the guide that fits how you train: just lifting, running a program, or tracking the data. Or browse everything Badger does for the full list.
